My son who is 5 years old started playing piano using the Alfred All-In-One Course: Book 1 in January. He takes one hour of piano lessons every week, and practices at least 1 hour every day or every other day. After 5 months using the Alfred book and music flash cards, he is able to read basic piano notes, and rest without any problems. Overall, he is advance for his age...in addition to piano, he can READ 1st grade level,DO DOUBLE DIGIT MATH,and play GOLF. I don't expect him to be Mozart, or a pianist...I just want him to love music and learn the classics!
